Organotin(IV) selenate derivatives – Crystal structure of [{(Ph3Sn)2SeO4} ⋅ CH3OH] n

Abstract Crystallization of [(Ph 3 Sn) 2 SeO 4 ] ⋅ 1.5H O in methanol leads to the formation [{(Ph } CH OH] n ( 1 ) which constitutes a new specimen organotin(IV) selenate derivatives. In solid state, complex is arranged polymeric zig-zag chains, composed alternating Ph Sn and groups. addition, pendant OH moieties are branched along chains according syndiotactic organization via Sn-O-Se connections. From supramolecular point view, intermolecular hydrogen bonds established between groups (uncoordinated oxygen) hydroxyl functions (CH OH) link together.
